Niagara Falls

WOW! What a trip. With gas prices so low - we looked for a place we wouldn't normally go. We first toured the Niagara Power Project that takes 3/4 of the water before the falls and stores it in a reservior to be turned into electricity. There is a plant on the USA side and the Canadian side. Then we went to the visitors center in the US and saw the American side and Bridal Veil falls. After lots of pictures we waited cautiously with birth certificates and driver's licenses in hand to gain admittance into Cananda. The weather in late December was perfect for northern NY - about 27 F during the day. The next day we walked the Canadian side - the Horseshoe falls. We did the behind the falls tour. That was really cool. The imax movie about the history of the falls I would recommend also. The lego place called "Brick City" and Ripley's believe it or not Museum were also popular with my kids.
